VTT provides customers with research, development and piloting services.

The raw material for our products is renewable wood from sustainably managed northern forests. Metsä Spring, the Innovation company of Metsä Group, represents Metsä Group in the project. Metsä Spring invests expertise and financial resources into initiatives with the ambition to reshape the forest-based bioeconomy, aiming to increase the value for Metsä Group’s stakeholders in the long-term.

Neste is the world’s leading producer of sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel, and renewable feedstock solutions for various polymers and chemicals industry uses. Renewable feedstocks include bio-based wastes and residues and Neste is also introducing recycled raw materials such as liquefied waste plastics as refinery raw materials. Neste has committed to supporting their customers to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by at least 20 million tons annually by 2030. Neste  continues to work towards increasing the availability of renewable and recycled raw materials while also developing technologies to diversify the current raw material portfolio even further from what it is today. The aim of Neste is to become a global leader in renewable and circular solutions.

CarbonReUse has experience with CO2 capture technologies and know-how purification technology application on industrial experimental sites. The Company helps clients to lower emissions and increase productivity with the patented CarbonReUse CO2 – process.

 

Essity logo

Essity is an energy-intensive company and one of the largest tissue paper manufacturers in the world. Essity has pledged to net zero targets regarding GHG emissions. This target is pursued with a consortium called Science Based Target, where investment opportunities are sought for emission reduction technologies. Forest CUMP presents an interesting opportunity to produce polymeric products from CO2, which are highly relevant to Essity’s product portfolio.
